The free version is fine for the odd question. Since 9 October 2026, though, most answers come from the smallest Flash-Lite model and the context is only 32K tokens, so it cannot take in a longer document at once. Google AI Plus at $4.99 adds the Flash model, twice the limits and 400 GB of storage. Google removed the Pro model from Plus in October 2026.
The top publicly available model, Gemini 4 Argon, is only clearly included from Google AI Pro at $19.99 a month. Google is ambiguous about it on the Plus plan and it is missing from the feature list. Pro also adds a one-million-token context, Gemini in Gmail and Docs and 5 TB of storage, so it is the right pick for most people who use Gemini at work every day. Ultra from $99.99 only makes sense if you hit the Pro limits daily or code with agents in Antigravity at volume.
- Google's plan page does not say whether the Slovak and Czech prices include VAT. Google Workspace prices exclude VAT.
- In Czechia, Google's pages show different prices for Google AI Plus, so check it when you order.
- For a company, Google Workspace beats a personal subscription: company data is not used for training and an admin manages the accounts. Gemini in Docs and Sheets only comes with Business Standard and up, though.

Is Gemini free?
Yes. With a Google account you can use the Gemini app for free, including image creation, Deep Research and Gemini Live. Since 9 October 2026, though, most answers come from the smallest Flash-Lite model with a 32K-token context, and limits refresh every 5 hours up to a weekly cap. If you need more, you can move to Google AI Plus at $4.99 or AI Pro at $19.99 a month.
What is the difference between Google AI Plus, Pro and Ultra?
Plus at $4.99 gives you the Flash model, twice the free limits, a 128K-token context and 400 GB of storage. Pro at $19.99 adds Gemini 4 Argon, the top publicly available model, four times the free limits, a one-million-token context, Gemini in Gmail and Docs and 5 TB of storage. Ultra costs $99.99 or $199.99 a month and gives you five or twenty times the Pro limits, Deep Think mode, the highest agent limits in Antigravity and 20 TB+ of storage.
How much does Gemini cost for a business?
Companies get Gemini through Google Workspace. Business Starter costs €6.80 per user per month excluding VAT. You get Gemini in Gmail and the standalone chat, but not in Docs, Sheets or Meet. Business Standard at €13.60 excluding VAT adds Gemini in Docs, Sheets, Slides and Meet. An annual commitment saves 16%. Gemini Enterprise, a separate platform for business agents, starts at $21 per user per month.
Does Google train on my data?
It depends on how you use Gemini. In Google Workspace, company data is not used for training. With the Gemini API, Google's terms say it does not train on data from users in the EEA, even on the free tier. A personal account in the Gemini app has different rules, which you can check in your Google account settings.
